Rear projection (RP)

A in-camera compositing process in which an image (such as a previously photographed, or printed background plate or 3D environment) is displayed behind the foreground subject. Often used for driving shots when a fully 3D environment may be unnecessary, although real-time engines can also be used for this effect.
